Shelby’s journey into Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) began with the Fox pattern from Legit Kits in 2020—a bold start, as she had never attempted FPP before. Her experience with Legit Kits' outstanding customer service, including their thoughtful gesture of replacing some of her fabric for free, left a lasting impression. Inspired by their commitment to customers, Shelby decided to support the company by becoming a Legit Kits Certified Instructor, helping others experience the joy of FPP.

Beyond quilting, Shelby is a dedicated Reiki Master Teacher and meditation instructor with a passion for exploring happiness and mindfulness practices. She currently divides her time between Arizona and New Mexico but will soon be making a move to Michigan. With family connections in Alaska and Hawaii, Shelby brings a rich, diverse background to her work, grounded in a deep appreciation for both craft and personal wellness.
